Listen up party people! Solarz here….and we are EXTREMELY EXCITED about our new partnership with PVL CLOTHING!!! This story dates back nearly 7 years….but we’ll try and give you the lean and skinny on how this all came about. Some of you might remember when I DJ’d for a promotion company based in San Jose, CA called “KLUBSTAR”. We released many mixtapes and through some crazy ass parties. To be honest, I owe most of my DJ’ing career to these guys. They put me on and have never stopped supporting me over the years. LOVE YOU GUYS! Well….time goes by and not everyone wants to promote parties at nightclubs forever…some of the KLUBSTAR team branched out into bigger and better musical events, some went on to work in the tech field and some decided to help start an amazing clothing line. Ya dig…here we are!! But it gets even better!!!!! Turns out, they’ve put together a clothing line that is truly brilliant and has absolutely exploded onto the fashion scene in less than a year!

Here’s why this is such a wonderful partnership. First of all….in case you can’t tell, we love these guys. They’re all such hard workers and are genuinely passionate about their company. Secondly, they’re passionate about what we do. They’ve come to support us not only at local shows, but even internationally!! They also support other trend-setting artists such as John West. MOST OF ALL….(and this is why all of this is easy as pie!!)….THEY MAKE AMAZING CLOTHING!!! (Yeah…it would kinda suck after all of that if we didn’t actually like their products right?)

Point is this…we don’t just whore ourselves out to anybody!! We need to believe in a company, their vision and their products. Do us a favor (and yourself) and please support those that support us. It’s partnerships like these that allow us to keep the lights on in the studio and keep those FREE MUSIC downloads available on our website.They also help us look quite a bit better….well, I can only speak for myself. What a crazy weekend we had!! Good times. Started off with a quick flight down to LA, dinner with our buddy Will aka DJ MANIK (Vector Mode Records) and his wonderful girlfriend, then we headed to the world famous ROXY THEATER in Hollywood for our SOLD OUT show with HYPER CRUSH, STARTING SIX & THE IT BOYS.  Though there were some equipment issues, the show went off amazingly well! Bay Area superstar Bobby Brackins made a guest appearance and Hyper Crush absolutely shut it down with their insanely energetic performance!!

BTW…HYPER CRUSH drops their new album “NIGHT WAVE” today!!! Go get it on iTunes now!! As of this morning it had already reached the #2 spot on the dance charts!

After the show we headed straight to LAX where we proceeded to pass out on the cold floor until our 6:30am flight for Indianapolis. That’s right kids…we live the life of luxury.

After landing in Indianapolis we headed to the Moodswing condo…had some questionable leftovers from the refrigerator, then headed downtown to perform at the ELEVATE tent. It was BANANAS!! Thank you to everyone who came out to party with us along with PAULY D, JASON SMITH & DJ FLIPSIDE from the JUMP SMOKERS.

Hey guys,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we are no longer remix artists on Crooklynclan.net. We will still continue to remix and Dj, that won’t change, but from now on you will not find our remixes on that website. For some of you not familiar with the site, it was started by Dj Riz & Dj Sizzahandz (AKA: The Crooklyn Clan). It’s a website where DJs can find mashups, remixes and cool shit to play at the club. At the time of it’s inception, DJs just started to make the jump to using laptops to DJ, and needed a good source of MP3s to light the club on fire. Records were heavy, expensive and so they went the way of the Nintendo, pager and VHS. Back in 2007, we debuted on the site and lit the bitch up! We have had a number of high selling tracks including “Heaven On Earth Break,” “Show Me Lollipop,” and one of the best sellling tracks of all time: “Timbaland Break.” For the past 5 years we have played all over the country and been blown away from the numerous emails, handshakes, pictures, and general praise, fans as well as Djs have shown us. We know that without the exposure on the site, and Djs downloading, and appreciating our vision of music, we would never have had the chance to be heard all over the world- so for that an extra special thanks to the DJs. And even if you aren’t a DJ, if you ever played a CD or put someone on to our remixes, be you girlfriend or wife of a DJ, grandma, Crossfit enthusiast or School Crossing Guard- from the bottom of our hearts- Thank You! (actual professions of fans btw!! and yes DJ girlfriend/wife is a profession, just ask any DJ girlfriend or wife!)

For the past few years we have pushed the boundaries of production, and have in a sense “outgrown” mashups. Today we tend to think of ourselves as artists- who just happen to have one foot in the dj world and another in music production. Nearly all of our energy is hell bent on making original production for other artists or our own unique beats. We have had a few official label releases including remixing Wynter Gordon’s ‘Til Death”, Martin Solveig & Dragonette’s “Hello” and the ubiquitous pop mega hit “Like A G6″ by Far East Movement. Of course we still make “mashups”, “bootlegs”, “refixes”, “relaunches”, “remixes” or “rmxs” or whatever you want to call them.  And in case you are wondering, we will release a few of these and some classics from Crooklynclan.net on our Soundcloud, Facebook and Twitter so make sure you add, like and follow us on there so you will know when we realease the goodies. As always anything we give out on our site is free, all that we ask is that you tell a friend about it, RT, share (don’t we sound like a Ronco infomercial right about now), so that we can grow our fanbase. You never know when that person could know a promoter, club owner, other dj, new artist or rapper who we could someday work with in the future. Crooklynclan.net is still a hotspot for Djs to find music. And there are still many talented producers on there, but if you’d like to continue to support us, until we start a merchandise store on our site the best way is to come to a show!
