It’s official like Too $hort blows the whistle….we’re coming back to Asia less than a year after we left. This time around we’ll be touring together for the entire two weeks. We’ll be taking tons of pictures and lots of video so check back regularly for all that goodness.

Our current schedule is as follows:

July 31st – Departure from San Francisco to Hong Kong via Seoul Korea

We’re excited to be flying ASIANA AIRLINES. I flew this airline last year and I gotta say…it was top notch. Don’t get it twisted…we don’t fly first class. Even in coach, every seat has it’s own power outlet, personal television, internet access, even text messaging capabilities to any phone anywhere in the world (costs about $2 per message…but I still thought it was kinda gangster)! Funny thing about traveling in Asia (and a few other third world countries….not that all of Asia is third world….but I digress)…they don’t like sitting in exit rows! Guess they don’t want the responsibility of saving lives if the plane comes crashing down. Anywho…nearly every flight I took last year, I asked to be seated in an exit row and was always given a seat, many times the entire row to myself. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed…hoping this happens again.

August 1st – Touch down in Hong Kong

We wanted to arrive a day early to see if we can get into some trouble in Hong Kong before having to go to work. Luckily we’ll have our friend DJ YIN to take us around and show us what’s what in this amazing city. Unfortunately last year we both only had one night in Hong Kong and didn’t get to do much sightseeing so we’re especially excited to have an extra day.

August 2nd – ROCK-IT! SCIENTISTS LIVE @ MAGNUM CLUB, Hong Kong

DJ YIN works as the music director at three clubs in Hong Kong. Last year we performed at Beijing Club (Yes…it’s called Beijing club, but it’s in Hong Kong) and it was by far one of the most incredible clubs we’ve ever worked in. From the sound to the lighting to the layout of the club….the place was stunning. The crowd was also incredibly energetic which was the icing on the cake! From what we understand, Magnum Club is brand new and makes Beijing club look like the city dump!! We will also have live video streaming of our set so be sure to tune in! We’ll post the exact set times asap.

August 3rd & 4th – Travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai – ROCK-IT! SCIENTISTS LIVE @ M1NT, Shanghai

M1NT was our home base last year during our individual month long stays in Asia. We both performed three nights a week alongside the residents DJs SPENNY & GREG LEIGH and fell in love with this amazing club on the 24th floor of an upscale office building in downtown Shanghai. The DJ booth is too small for us to set up four turntables so we’ll both have our own individual nights. Guzie on Thursday Aug 3rd and I’ll be rocking the club on Friday Aug 4th.

August 5th-7th – Explore Shanghai!

It’s only a city of 23 million people….we’ll find something to do. Maybe visit the iPod factory.

August 8th – Travel to Singapore – ROCK-IT! SCIENTISTS LIVE @ PANGAEA

Much like Hong Kong, last year we only got to spend one day in this amazing city so we’re excited to be back and playing at the premiere club, PANGAEA. Check out the video from last year’s FORMULA ONE event we did for Johnny Walker.

August 9th – Travel to Taipei – ROCK-IT! SCIENTISTS LIVE @ SPARK 101

Located in the 3rd tallest building in the world, SPARK 101 is an absolutely incredible club that boasts one of the most amazing LED lighting displays I’ve ever seen. I think there’s some short footage from when I played there in 2010…check out this video!

August 10th – Travel to Beijing – ROCK-IT! SCIENTISTS LIVE @ SPARK BEIJING

The newer, younger sister club of SPARK 101 in Taipei, SPARK BEIJING is the hottest club in China right now!! With world class acts like Avicii, David Guetta and Tiesto all performing shows in recent months, we’re truly honored to be rocking this venue on a Saturday night! This will be our first appearance in Beijing and we know we have some fans out there, so please come out and RAGE with us!!!!!!
